The Gift of Salvation

The most important decision you will ever make is where you will spend eternity. God loves you and has made a way for you to have eternal life through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Pray This Prayer

If you are ready to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you can pray this prayer right now. Speak it out loud from your heart:

"Father God,

I thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, that He died on the cross for my sins, and that He rose from the dead on the third day.

Jesus, come into my heart and life. I confess you as my Lord and Savior.

Thank You for loving me and forgiving me. Thank You for the gift of eternal life. Help me to live for You from this day forward.

In Jesus' name I pray, Amen."

1The Problem: All have Sinned

The Bible tells us that every person has sinned and fallen short of God's glory:

"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"— Romans 3:23 (ESV)

Sin separates us from God. The consequence of sin is spiritual death and eternal separation from God:

"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."— Romans 6:23 (ESV)

2The Solution: God's Love and Jesus Christ

God loves you so much that He left Heaven's throne to come to the Earth as a man, to die a criminial's death on the cross for your sins:

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."— John 3:16 (ESV)

Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life. He died on the cross, taking the punishment for our sins. Three days later, He rose from the dead, conquering sin and death forever!

"but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."— Romans 5:8 (ESV)

3Your Response: Believe and Confess

Salvation is a free gift from God. You cannot earn it by being good or doing good works. You receive it by faith when you believe in Jesus and confess Him as your Lord:

"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."— Romans 10:9 (ESV)
"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."— Ephesians 2:8-9 (ESV)
